Under RA 11202 or the Mobile Number Portability Act, you, the consumers will get to KEEP YOUR MOBILE NUMBER even if you switch service providers or change your subscription from postpaid to prepaid, and vice versa.
The change of your mobile number from prepaid to postpaid, and vice versa is free of charge.
Aside from keeping your numbers, you would also not be charged any interconnecting fees for domestic calls and texts.
With this act, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) foresees a more vibrant competition among telecommunication service providers.
The DICT will continue to work on policies that are lined up to stimulate competition and further improve telecommunication services.
