The Galleon Ship
The galleon ships were made of wood. They were strong and big. It was powered by wind and can cross entire oceans. Galleon ships were used for trade and can carry a lot of goods. Because it carried a lot of expensive items for selling, pirates would sometimes attempt to steal its treasures. This is why a lot of galleon ships had many canons.
Because of their strength and size, galleon ships were also used for war. One event happened in the 1600s when galleon ships defended Manila from invading Dutch ships!
