The Davao City Health Office observed that the wrapper of the
Durian Candy obtained from the manufacturer was different from
the wrapper of the Durian Candy eaten by the residents which
caused them to be poisoned.
The Durian Candy manufacturer believes that the company’s
expired Durian Candy may perhaps been repacked by someone
and sold to the victims of food poisoning.
8 persons who sold the Durian Candy have been arrested and they
said that they are not aware of the dangers of selling expired
candies.
The Police is now getting affidavits from the victims which
will be used to support the case that the Police will file
before the Prosecutor’s office.
