Difference between Enhanced Community Quarantine and General Community Quarantine:

 

Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ)

  • Stringent quarantine measures until May 15, 2020
  • Public transportation systems are suspended
  • Only essential businesses and services are allowed to operate
  • Subject to further evaluation before transitioning to General Community Quarantine (GCQ)

 

General Community Quarantine (GCQ)

  • Relaxed quarantine measures starting May 1, 2020
  • Public transport is allowed but in a reduced capacity
  • 50-100% reopening of select establishments subject to minimum health standards
  • If no further deterioration, GCQ will be relaxed

100% Opening

  • Agriculture, fisheries, forestry
  • Food, manufacturing and its supply chain (ink, printing, raw materials, etc.)
  • Food retail (supermarket, take-out and delivery services only)
  • Healthcare (hospitals, clinics, drugstores)
  • Logistics
  • Water
  • Energy
  • Internet, Telecommunications
  • Media

Category 2
50-100% Opening

  • Electronic and exports
  • E-commerce and delivery for essential and non-essential items
  • Repair and maintenance services
  • Housing and office services

Category 3
50% On-Site
50% Work From Home

  • Financial services
  • Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO)
  • Other non-leisure services
  • Other non-leisure wholesale and retail trade
