Gregoria de Jesus “Lakambini ng Katipunan” was the first woman to join the Katipunan and played multiple roles in the organization and performed many duties that only women can do.
This duty includes hiding all the essential paperwork of the organization.
She learned to be a real soldier, rode a horse, and fired guns to protect the Katipunan’s essential documents from the hands of the Spaniards.
Si Gregoria de Jesus ang unang babae na sumapi sa Katipunan at ginampanan ang maraming tungkulin na babae lang ang makakagawa.
Kabilang dito ang pagtatago ng lahat ng mahahalagang papeles ng samahan.
